Grassfield had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lakeland Cavaliers an 11-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Grassfield's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Lakeland, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Grassfield is set to take on their familiar foe Great Bridge at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Grizzlies 4.1, the Wildcats 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
