The Rosman Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 29 points or more this season. They blew past Asheville, posting a 69-39 victory on the road. For Rosman, this counts as revenge for the 59-42 loss Asheville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Rosman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexi Powell (sykes) out in front who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Alissa Cheek, who scored 18 points.
Despite the loss, Asheville still got an impressive performance from Hayziah Dillingham, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Dillingham hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Jacoby, who scored six points.
Rosman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Asheville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Rosman won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mount Tabor at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. Mount Tabor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rosman in North Carolina (Mount Tabor is ranked 83rd, while Rosman is ranked 209th).
