The East Chicago Central Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Bowman Academy 51-45. East Chicago Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bowman Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Kahlen Robinson was her usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for Bowman Academy. Robinson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Janiyah Jackson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
East Chicago Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Bowman Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Chicago Central will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against 21st Century Charter at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Bowman Academy, they will square off against Valparaiso at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
