It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Orange Park Raiders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over First Baptist School. The victory was just what Orange Park needed coming off of a 87-61 defeat in their prior matchup.
Orange Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hailey Revak, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Mychaela Parker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Orange Park's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for First Baptist School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.
Orange Park won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carroll County at 9:00 a.m. on December 30, 2023. Carroll County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for First Baptist School, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinewood Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinewood Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
