Chariho is 5-0 against the Villa Novans since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Chariho Chargers will be playing at home against the Woonsocket Villa Novans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chariho has three straight victories, the Villa Novans have 34 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Chariho gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mt. Hope as Chariho made off with a 62-40 win.
Meanwhile, Woonsocket had to suffer through a rough 50-17 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woonsocket in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.
Chariho pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Woonsocket, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
Everything came up roses for Chariho against the Villa Novans in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 59-13 victory. Does Chariho have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Villa Novans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
