Westminster Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the John Hancock Academy Rebels with a sharp 53-27 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 26 points or more this season.

Westminster Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abel Carter, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Carter is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Townsend, who posted 14 points along with five boards and five steals.

Westminster Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for John Hancock Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Westminster Christian Academy Lions challenge the Peachtree Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
