The University Christian Christians will head out on the road to take on the Impact Christian Academy Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for University Christian at home against St. Johns Country Day as the squad secured a 76-35 win. University Christian pushed the score to 70-27 by the end of the third, a deficit St. Johns Country Day cut but never quite recovered from.
Calvin Carter was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 17 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of BRYANT BOYKIN, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Impact Christian Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Flashes 76-34 on the road on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Impact Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Impact Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sterling Moody, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moody has scored all season. Wilmer De jesus was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
University Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Impact Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
University Christian skirted past Impact Christian Academy 55-52 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Does University Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Impact Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
