The last time they met ? Medway were the 16-14 winner over Ashland. This time around? They had no such luck. Medway and Ashland were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Medway suffered an agonizing 20-21 defeat. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Medway off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Ashland a 1-0 record.
Medway will look to defend their home turf next week against Norwood at 7:00 PM. As for Ashland, they will face off against Sharon.
