If the Crofton Warriors were riding high off their 60-38 takedown of the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Crofton suffered a tough 69-49 defeat at the hands of Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on Friday. Crofton lost against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-32 score last time.
Despite the loss, Crofton still got an impressive performance from Jace Foxhoven, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Pinkelman, who scored 11 points.
Kolby Hansen was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 20 points. Gibson Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 8 rebounds.
Crofton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crofton will take on Boyd County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Homer at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
