Winamac has gone a perfect 10-0 against Triton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will head out to take on the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Winamac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Winamac beat South Central 10-5.

Cody Wheeler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last ten games.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hutch Martin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Adriano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Triton hadn't done well against Bremen recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five matches in a row.
Like Winamac, Triton also got a great game from a two-way player: Drew Bingamon. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Bingamon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Triton: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
Bingamon wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Triton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Winamac, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Winamac has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Triton struggles in that department as they've averaged .468. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Winamac beat Triton 4-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
