The Colfax Bulldogs will face off against the Freeman Scotties at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colfax will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Colfax gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Asotin as they made off with an 18-8 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Colfax got a massive performance out of Izzy Huntley, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Huntley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Vandenbark, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Colfax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Asotin only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Freeman put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand College Place a 5-0 shutout.
Kaylee Ripke made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Ripke wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Isabel Silva, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Rilyn Ripke was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Freeman's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Colfax, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Colfax hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Freeman struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Colfax might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Freeman in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
