In what's become a running theme this season, the Sacred Heart Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-50 victory over Austin Waldorf at home. Winning may never get old, but Sacred Heart sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sacred Heart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Steffek, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds. Steffek is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season. Nic Angerstein was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on 20 points, ten assists, and ten steals.
Sacred Heart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. As for Austin Waldorf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Sacred Heart will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Summit Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Austin Waldorf, they will be playing at home against the Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Juan Diego Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
