Despite the loss, Xavier Prep had strong showings from Johnny Ferrel, who scored 12 points, and Paul Dreisbach, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 35.7% of Xavier Prep's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Xavier Prep bumped their record down to 4-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Palm Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.
Xavier Prep will be playing at home against La Quinta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Quinta is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Palm Springs, they will head out on the road to challenge Summit at 9:15 a.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Summit sitting on four straight wins and Palm Springs on eight.
