Kaley Anderson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylan Boudreau, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Gray Collegiate Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dutch Fork only posted an OBP of .360.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Mountain View Prep nor Broome made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Stars walked away with a 5-2 win over the Centurions.
Braley Richardson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Aubree Davis was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kendall Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Mountain View Prep's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.
