While Meek's win against Belgreen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Meek narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Belgreen 8-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2022.

Dawson Beasley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed over his last five contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Meek got a big performance out of Ethan Miles, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Miles a new career-high in RBI (three). Evan McCay was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.

Meek's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Belgreen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Meek will take on Falkville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Belgreen, they will be playing at home against Colbert Heights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Colbert Heights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Belgreen surely won't give up without a fight.
