Meanwhile, Scherer struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. At bat, Line went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Scherer scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Octavia Houvig was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Aisley Jenan, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Schuylkill Haven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley got the win against Minersville on Tuesday by a conclusive 18-2. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Battlin' Miners recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Like Schuylkill Haven, Tri-Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Alina Leonard. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Leonard was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Tri-Valley got a massive performance out of Mady Schwalm, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Cassi Snyder was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
Schuylkill Haven's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
