The Ballard Memorial Bombers managed to keep up with the Massac County Patriots until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Ballard Memorial was the victim of a rough 85-64 loss at the hands of the Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), Ballard Memorial still had to take the loss.
Isaac Hosman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten assists for Massac County. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hosman has scored all season. Will Harmon was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Ballard Memorial dropped their record down to 6-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Massac County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ballard Memorial will square off against the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Charleston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. As for Massac County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Herrin is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
