Basketball Game Preview: Seaforth Hawks vs. North Moore Mustangs

Seaforth is 7-0 against North Moore since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seaforth Hawks will face off against the North Moore Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Seaforth has 18 straight wins, North Moore has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Seaforth can't be too worried about heading out to take on North Moore: they just beat Northwood at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Everything went Seaforth's way against Northwood on Friday as Seaforth made off with a 54-28 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Seaforth's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Katherine Leonard, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 28 points and four steals, and Gabrielle White, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, White is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Camille Rozzell, who posted five points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, North Moore had to suffer through a 69-40 loss at the hands of Chatham Central.

Seaforth pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for North Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything came up roses for Seaforth against North Moore when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 55-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seaforth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
