The Fort Lee Bridgemen will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Fort Lee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
The third road matchup was the charm for Fort Lee, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Nutley by a score of 52-43.
Guy Vickers was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Jang, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Dwight Morrow pushed their score all the way to 59 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-59 to Cliffside Park. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (58), Dwight Morrow still had to take the loss.
Fort Lee's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Dwight Morrow, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
Fort Lee came out on top in a nail-biter against Dwight Morrow in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 2-0. Will Fort Lee repeat their success, or does Dwight Morrow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
