The Altha Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Ponce De Leon Pirates on February 6th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Wewahitchka scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Altha still came out on top. Altha skirted past the Gators 59-57.
Even though Ponce De Leon has not done well against the Atomics recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Ponce De Leon came out on top against the Atomics by a score of 40-31. The win was just what Ponce De Leon needed coming off of a 70-41 defeat in their prior game.
Altha's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15. As for Ponce De Leon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Altha came up short against the Pirates in their previous meeting back in January, falling 68-55. Can Altha avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
