The Lee Park Prep Knights will face off against the Union Academy Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are still undefeated (Lee Park Prep has five wins dating back to last season, while Union Academy has six dating back to last season).
Lee Park Prep made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Concord Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Lee Park Prep was the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over Concord Academy on Friday.
Ansley Green made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Green was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Nevaeh Alexander was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Alexander is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Morgan Swann was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Lee Park Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Union Academy took on Covenant Day on Thursday. Union Academy was the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Covenant Day. Fans of the Cardinals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Avery Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taylor Surratt, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Keilana Burgess, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Lee Park Prep pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Union Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
