The Fairfield Central Griffins were the 59-42 winner over the Eau Claire Shamrocks when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Fairfield Central fell 56-45 to Eau Claire on Friday.
Despite the loss, Fairfield Central still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Adams, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 44.4% of Fairfield Central's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamia Evans, who scored nine points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eau Claire to victory, but perhaps none more so than Destinee Tiller, who scored 32 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tiller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Milaysha Chisholm, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Fairfield Central now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Eau Claire, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Fairfield Central will head out on the road to challenge Keenan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fairfield Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Eau Claire, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. Eau Claire is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
