The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with Parker: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why River Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nysaiah Vargas. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Gabriel Short was another key contributor, scoring six points.
River Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
River Valley's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Parker, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
