Lafayette Jefferson entered their tilt with Muncie Central on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They strolled past the Muncie Central Bearcats with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. Given the Bronchos' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Bearcats are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muncie Central's loss came despite strong showings from Landen Wells and Carlos Echols. Wells posted ten points and three steals, while Echols went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Johnson, who put up eight points.

Lafayette Jefferson's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Muncie Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Lafayette Jefferson will challenge Anderson at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Muncie Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-23 defeat against Noblesville on the 11th.
