The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Durand in their matchups with Lena-Winslow: they've now lost six in a row.
Aurora Hilton was Durand's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Lola Robertson held things down on the boards with three rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Durand's defeat was their 17th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for Lena-Winslow, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
Durand will be playing in front of their home fans against Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pecatonica presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Durand in Illinois (Pecatonica is ranked 126th, while Durand is ranked 538th). Lena-Winslow won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dakota at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Dakota focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Wednesday.
