The Franklin Knights''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 27-14 win over Conneaut Area. This was payback for Franklin, who suffered a 14-10 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Cole Buckley went supernova for Franklin, rushing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Buckley's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
Despite the loss, Conneaut Area still got an impressive performance from Joe Furgiuele IV, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns.
Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Conneaut Area, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Conneaut Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
