After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Allegheny, the Albert Gallatin Colonials were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Ringgold by a score of 66-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albert Gallatin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mykel Belt, who scored 18 points along with 7 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Belt has scored at least 25% of Albert Gallatin's points. Another player making a difference was Jason Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The victory got Albert Gallatin back to even at 2-2. As for Ringgold, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albert Gallatin will take on Brentwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ringgold, they will play host again and welcome Elizabeth Forward, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
