While Licking's win against South Callaway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 11th.

Licking is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for South Callaway, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coincidentally, Licking and South Callaway will both be playing Hallsville the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
