The Stringer Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 60-31 loss at the hands of Leake County. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Stringer of the 55-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Chapman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Leake County, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 steals. Chapman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Daishone Turner, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Stringer has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Leake County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.
Stringer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 40-21 win vs. Mount Olive on the 9th. Leake County has also already played their next game, a 51-32 loss against Taylorsville on the 9th.
