The Snow Hill Eagles lost against the Parkside Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Snow Hill took a serious blow against the Rams, falling 78-42. While losing is never fun, Snow Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Rams are ranked 50th).
Parkside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion Oge, who scored 23 points. Oge is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 20 or more in the last seven games she's played. Ziyon Smith was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Snow Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Parkside, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Washington the next time they take the court. Parkside will head out to face Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Snow Hill will head out to face them on Tuesday.
