The Hanover Bears and the Shaker Bison will round out the year against one another at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Hanover strolled past Bishop Brady with points to spare, taking the game 59-41. 59 seems to be a good number for Hanover as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Shaker scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Kingston 67-44. The result was nothing new for Shaker, who have now won three matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Peyton Hoblock was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jayla Geter, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Hanover pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Shaker, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Hanover came up short against Shaker in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 51-44. Can Hanover avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
