Two dominant guards in Max Moore and Trey Stump are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sissonville Indians will head out on the road to take on the Nicholas County Grizzlies at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Sissonville pushed their score all the way to 57 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 71-57 fall against Wayne.
Meanwhile, Nicholas County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of PikeView by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The losing side was boosted by Stump, who scored 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hanna, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Sissonville's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Nicholas County, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Sissonville came up short against Nicholas County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 61-57. Can Sissonville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
