Leigha Blazetic was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Amanda Peklay was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Musgrave, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Chagrin Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Wickliffe, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

It's a different story for Wickliffe, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Chagrin Falls continue to outrun the ball?
