The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hughson, who took down 373rd ranked Hilmar, 34-21. Kyle Kerlee threw for 52 yards and one touchdown and ran for 89 yards in the win.
The Huskies moved up to 390 from 420 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Trans Valley. Hughson was able to make move up by besting the Yellowjackets 34-21.
Modesto Christian's dynamic duo of Zack Megee and Zach O'Leary proved tough for Orestimba to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Megee threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns and O'Leary had 122 yards receiving. Anthony Brooks helped Modesto Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 52 yards.
Tanner Duron was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 102 yards on 20 carries as George Harp's team bested the Warriors.
Angel Torres provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Riverbank lost to Escalon. He completed eight passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 78 yards. Torres' favorite target this week was Joaquin Felix, who caught three passes for 42 yards.
5-foot-9 quarterback Kyle Wengel of Ripon is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1611. He has also thrown 23 touchdowns. On the ground, Orestimba's Steven Machado has rushed for 1927 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Alec VonAlvensleben. The Escalon star has 30 catches for 654 yards.
The Huskies' Kerlee needs only 54 yards against Argonaut next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Kerlee has rushed for 946 yards on 116 carries so far this year.
Modesto Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Trans Valley. Steve Gleason's team beat Aaron Souza's team 47-7 earlier in the week.
