The Rock County Christian Eagles stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Utica Christian, posting a 62-23 win at home. Rock County Christian's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Rock County Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriel Thompson out in front who scored six points along with eight assists and eight steals. That's the first time this season that Thompson posted eight or more assists. Tony Thompson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Rock County Christian pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Utica Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Rock County Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Grace Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Utica Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
