The White Station Spartans will challenge the West Memphis Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Memphis took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on White Station, who comes in off a win.
White Station lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Southaven, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Chargers on Wednesday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Dominick Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Cooper Walter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Jordan Fisher was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs and two stolen bases.
White Station kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-0 to Valley View.
West Memphis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Choate, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
White Station pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Memphis, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. White Station has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Memphis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went White Station's way against West Memphis when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as White Station made off with a 16-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
