The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They really took it to Boca Raton Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-38 victory at home. With Trinity Christian Academy ahead 39-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Xander Eason went supernova for Trinity Christian Academy, scoring 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eduardo Rodriguez, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Several Blazers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Good, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Cody Fillion, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Even though they lost, Boca Raton Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian Academy only racked up 18.
Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Boca Raton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Trinity Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against FAU High at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boca Raton Christian, they will be playing at home against Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
