The Brownsville Falcons were the 68-35 winner over the West Greene Pioneers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Brownsville fell 49-39 to West Greene on Thursday.
Lane Allison was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for West Greene. The game was Allison's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Durbin, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Brownsville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for West Greene, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Brownsville will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Washington at 7:00 p.m. Washington is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. West Greene and California will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. California comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
