The Treasure Coast Titans entered their tilt with the Martin County Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Treasure Coast secured a 53-48 W over Martin County on Thursday. Given Treasure Coast's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Martin County is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Treasure Coast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bek Fleurissaint, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Dejuan Preston was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Treasure Coast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Martin County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Treasure Coast will be playing at home against Okeechobee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against NSU University at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. NSU University knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 contests -- so hopefully Martin County likes a good challenge.
