Softball Recap: Smyrna Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Smyrna entered their tilt with Dover on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Senators a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Smyrna's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Dover, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Smyrna will be playing at home against Lake Forest at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dover, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sussex Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Seahawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Senators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
