The Martinsville Bluestreaks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-34 to Chrisman. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Martinsville in their matchups with Chrisman: they've now lost four in a row.
Chrisman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Jones, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Jones scored 15 or more points. Adaleyn Miller was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five blocks and two steals.
Martinsville dropped their record down to 2-19 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Chrisman, their win bumped their record up to 9-18.
Martinsville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. As for Chrisman, they will head out on the road to challenge Hoopeston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chrisman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
