The Chicago Marshall Commandos will head out on the road to face off against the Alcott Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chicago Marshall is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Chicago Marshall has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 31 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 40-9 win over Uplift at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chicago Marshall to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chamarre Scott, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alysha Murphy, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Alcott had to suffer through a rough 55-23 loss at the hands of Foreman. Alcott has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got Chicago Marshall back to even at 4-4. As for Alcott, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Chicago Marshall against Alcott when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 46-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chicago Marshall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
