Kashmere suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 93-26 defeat at the hands of Washington. While losing is never fun, Kashmere can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 822nd, while Washington is ranked 54th).
Meanwhile, Scarborough's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 14th straight loss. They were outmatched by Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men at home and fell 71-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Scarborough in their matchups with Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men: they've now lost eight in a row.
Kashmere has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Scarborough, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-18.
Everything came up roses for Kashmere against Scarborough in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 62-10 victory. With Kashmere ahead 39-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
