After two games on the road, Riverside is heading back home. The Riverside Chargers and the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Riverside lost to St. Francis on the road by a decisive 51-37 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Billy Glesinger, who scored eight points.
Arcadia/Loup City suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Ord, falling 65-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arcadia/Loup City in their matchups with Ord: they've now lost three in a row.
Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-9.
Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Arcadia/Loup City in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, sneaking past 56-53. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Arcadia/Loup City's Hayden Griffith, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds.
