St. Anne's-Belfield strolled past St. Christopher's with points to spare, taking the game 73-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Chance Mallory continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel D?alessandro, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Fork Union Military Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 77-61 fall against Trinity Episcopal. While losing is never fun, Fork Union Military Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Trinity Episcopal is ranked 47th).
St. Anne's-Belfield's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Fork Union Military Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Everything came up roses for St. Anne's-Belfield against Fork Union Military Academy in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 76-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Anne's-Belfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
