Big Bay de Noc's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Big Bay de Noc's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Pederson led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pederson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caragan Thill, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Big Bay de Noc's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Big Bay de Noc will head out on the road to face off against Nah Tah Wahsh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nah Tah Wahsh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 692nd, while Big Bay de Noc is ranked 120th). Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maplewood Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
