Even though the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, the Cherryville Ironmen still came out on top. Cherryville snuck past Thomas Jefferson with a 66-61 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Cherryville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rayshawn Sewell was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Darrien Floyd was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Cherryville's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Thomas Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
