The Bonner Springs Braves won the last time they faced the Paola Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Bonner Springs enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over Paola. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bonner Springs.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonner Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kalen Streit, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and six assists. Streit is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Rolfe jr., who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bonner Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Paola, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonner Springs will take on Eudora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Eudora is ranked 146th, while Bonner Springs is ranked 128th). As for Paola, they will be playing at home against Emporia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Emporia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
