The Brentwood Eagles will look to defend their home court on Monday against the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots at 6:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Brentwood has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while St. Louis HomeSchool P will arrive with 13 straight victories.
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three games, Brentwood finally came back down to earth on January 5th. They were outmatched by KIPP at home and fell 49-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brentwood has scored all season.
Meanwhile, St. Louis HomeSchool P strolled past Heritage Classical Christian Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 62-44.
St. Louis HomeSchool P's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AJ Stanley, Jr., who scored 20 points along with two steals. Stanley, Jr. has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stanley Rages, who scored eight points along with nine assists and nine rebounds.
Brentwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Brentwood beat St. Louis HomeSchool P 71-60 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Brentwood repeat their success, or does St. Louis HomeSchool P have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
