Willow Canyon won against Boulder Creek last Thursday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Willow Canyon Wildcats blew past the Ironwood Eagles 61-37. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Willow Canyon was led to victory by Kandace O?Connell and Sarah Karnitz. O?Connell posted 13 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals, while Karnitz went 7 of 15 en route to 21 points. Karnitz continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maya Marshall, who put up seven points and eight rebounds.

Willow Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 17 consecutive matchups.

Willow Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Ironwood, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Willow Canyon will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Willow Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season. As for Ironwood, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Kellis at 7:00 p.m. Kellis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Ironwood likes a good challenge.
